The Department of Physics is organizing the 7th Belle Analysis Workshop at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur from November 29 - December 3, 2017.

The objective of Belle Analysis Workshop (BAW) is to bring together Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty working with the Belle and Belle II experiments at KEK (High Energy Accelerator Research Organization), Japan at various institutes in India into a common platform. There will be discussions on Belle and Belle II physics, computing, hardware and software efforts in Belle-II Silicon Vertex Detector (SVD), e.g., specific ionization, cluster energy calibration, data quality monitoring and comparison of test beam data with simulation done by Indian collaborators. The Belle II experiment is an extensive upgrade of the Belle detector, being constructed at the SuperKEKB accelerator at KEK in Japan. The workshop will also include talks from world-class experts working in high energy physics in India and abroad.
